As a seaside city, Split is one of the hottest spots for digital nomads in Croatia and one of the best places to live in the Balkans. The frequent inflow of foreigners makes communication here easy since the locals speak English well.

Compared to other European countries, Split doesn’t offer a big pick of a coworking space. Still, you’ll have no problem finding a decent Wi-Fi connection. Take a look at our list of the best coffee shops, cafes, and coworking spaces Split has to offer.

Tip: If you are traveling to Split for the first time, this vlog may help you discover the best of it.

Re.Split is a coworking space located near the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, University of Split, so it is naturally filled with many students and young professionals.

The space offers everything from communal Flydesks to private desk spaces. If you need more privacy, opt for a private office, conference room, or meeting room instead. To fuel your productivity, you can also find a coffee and tea station with various sandwiches and pastries at an affordable cost.

Croatia is fairly safe, so you can work late if you want. But we loved that there are plenty of fantastic coliving in Split spaces nearby for anyone not quite ready to leave yet after a super productive session. You can find free parking for cars and bicycles nearby.

Some great options include the Hurrican Hostel (10 minutes away) and Rooms Kampus, which is across the road.

Mala Kavana Split Is a Place You Can Skip When Coworking in Split

Mala-Kavana

Mala Kavana is one of the most popular eateries in Split for exquisite local cuisine and decent Wi-Fi.

Because of its popularity, we recommend that you avoid coming here during lunch. That’s when we found Mala Kavana to be the most crowded and loud. It is a family restaurant, after all, and people come here to celebrate all sorts of things.

Weekends are more challenging – even if you don’t mind working surrounded by noise. If you come early enough, you can choose among the available chairs since some are comfortable enough, but others are a real pain.

More Coworking Spaces and Cafés in Split Worth Checking Out

Here are other coworking spaces and some cafés in Split that we found interesting for coworking:

D16 Coffee

D16 Coffee is a cozy java shop in the city center where you will most likely meet other remote workers in Split. This is mainly due to their professional baristas and varieties of brewed coffee from freshly roasted beans.

The chairs are actually not that bad, and you can spend hours sitting and working here without feeling sore. D16 Coffee has one of the best Wi-Fi networks, so that characteristic won’t disappoint you at all.

A few downsides we noticed were that the tables are somewhat small, so it’s better to come here for solo work. We also had trouble finding a free seat since this café can barely fit 20 people.

Tip: Looking for work remote stays in Split? This coffee shop isn’t too far from the best coliving coworking in Croatia.

Coworking Space TinkTank is a wonderful coworking space in a great location in Split 3. This means it’s not too far from the laid-back neighborhoods of Firule and Trstenik placing it just a short walk from Split’s beaches, parks, and trendy cafes.

The ground floor is where you’ll find the most dedicated and hot desks, but there are also a handful of seats in the upstairs gallery. We loved the free perks offered, like the use of the meeting rooms, printing, and coffee, as it just fueled our productivity.

We also appreciated that the space doesn’t forget about downtime. It is pet-friendly and tries to offer many socializing events like movie nights and after-work drinks.

Looking for a place to stay after long working hours? Some great options include B Gold Luxury Rooms B&B, just a short 10-minute walk away.
