Pub Hostel Siem Reap

If you’re going to Cambodia, you’re going to Siem Reap. Famous for the temples and infamous for the bar scene, there’s something for everyone in Siem Reap. The Pub Hostel is a great place to come if you’re looking to do a little of both. They have a bar and a swimming pool, but also their cheap private rooms are a great way to get an early night before you get up for a classic Angkor Wat sunrise.

One Stop Hostel Siem Reap

Cambodia is full of amazing hostels that will bring you back to nature, often with only a few planks of misfitting wood between you and the elements, however One Stop Hostel is not one of those. Instead here you’ll be thrown right back into modern living. A clean, modern feeling place can be just what the doctor ordered after a few months of slumming it in huts! They also have an amazing rooftop with artificial grass where you can enjoy the sunset overlooking Pub Street!

Balcony Kratie

Kratie Balcony is quite pretty off the beaten track, and in a town most backpackers bypass as they make their way north into Laos from Phnom Penh. This town is well worth the stopover, the hostel is open plan with a balcony overlooking the Mekong Delta where you can take a boat tour to see some rare Mekong dolphins! A really amazing experience not to be missed in Cambodia.

Their huge pool with lounges around the sides and great bar food make this one of the nicest places to stay in all of Cambodia, not just Phnomh Penh!

Monkey Maya Sihanoukville

Are you feeling the need for rustic living in the wilderness? Well Monkey Maya is what you’re looking for. Based 45 minutes by Tuk Tuk outside Sihanoukville, you’ll be well and truly off the beaten track, right at the point where forest meets beach, it’s in the perfect location for hiking, lounging on the beach, and meeting new people! They have cheap dorm rooms for $6 a night, or a family room for 4 people for $40. Not bad considering the view!
