Loving Local with Stephanie Marthinus

I sat down with Stephanie Marthinus-Hans, a travel writer and lifestyle blogger from Cape Town.

Stephannie works full time as a Digital Marketing and Communications Officer at an IT Law Firm and still finding time to pursue her love for traveling in South Africa.

She is passionate about small towns, local wineries, and delectable eateries. She has visited over 70 small towns in the Western Cape and shares more about them on her amazing South African Travel Blog!

Stephanie also aims to encourage people to book with local guides and transportation companies along with booking at smaller establishments rather than large corporations.

One reason to visit South Africa?

Where else are you going to find a destination like South Africa that has diverse landscapes with breathtaking coastlines, magnificent range of mountains, lush farms, green hills, and indigenous bush.

Where is your favorite South African destination?

I have quite a few but to narrow it down, it will have to be anywhere in the Karoo. I have such a deep appreciation for its arid landscape, magnificent sunsets, and the small-town communities.

How are you preparing to keep yourself safe during travel post covid19?

Road trips are making a serious comeback since air travel is off the cards. I’m also looking into more secluded establishments like glamping and places deep in the mountains.

If you were writing a book about your travels in South Africa, what would the title be?

Endless Small Town Adventures
