Travelling to both unique and popular destinations is a great way to spend the holidays. People seldom get enough holidays in their life these days and yet travel is still is one of the biggest industries in the world. There are plenty of tourist destinations that offer some real adventure for the restless traveller.

If you think you are an adventurous traveller, then the following places are surely going to be perfect destinations for you this summer! Plan a trip to these places to experience the amazing opportunities they offer and prepare to make some incredible memories…

Queenstown, New Zealand

Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of New Zealand and offers visitors breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes and mountain peaks. The place is known for its stunning landscapes, natural beauty, friendly locals, and epic (and very famous!!) hamburgers!! I spent a few weeks touring the South Island with my parents and best friend and it was one of the most memorable trips of my life.

Visitors agree that this place has some of the most incredible views in New Zealand that create a lasting imprint on the mind of the visitors. From sunny summers to snowy winters, the changing seasons bring with them whole new views and opportunities for outdoor activities.

If you want to explore more of New Zealand, then you could work and live in Queenstown and spend your weekends and holidays going off in a campervan, surfing and discovering amazing new places. Southern French Alps

Spending delightful summer holidays in the Southern French Alps is nothing less than an exciting tourist experience. Regular readers will all know my obsession with the Swiss Alps, but the Frech peaks are just as beautiful! It is a dream come true situation for tourists who visit here from all parts of the world.

Of course, in the winter the Alps are popular for skiing, but it would be foolish to neglect their beauty during the summer months. There’s a whole range of exciting adventure activities you can get involved in; biking, cycling, walking, caving, rafting and the list goes on! This is an amazing destination if you want to have an adventure without leaving Europe!

Explore Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an Island country which is located in the South of India and in the lap of the Indian Ocean. Well connected to the Indian states directly, Sri Lanka is an independent country that represents a perfect blend of modern and traditional lifestyle. The country has its capital in Colombo. One of my favourite countries in the world, I’ve visited three times and will be returning again this October!

If you have a limited budget, then you will be able to find plenty of cheap hostels to stay in and inexpensive places to dine. If you are looking for a more luxurious visit to Sri Lanka, then you will be delighted by the opulence of some of the beautiful boutique hotels available. Historic Portugal

Apart from Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal has a number of things that people find extremely attractive!  If you are game for some fairytale beauty, then a visit to the town of Sintra is a must. Also, you should not miss out on the Santos Festivities, not to mention of the gorgeous beaches, and of course, the award-winning wines. Be sure to spend some time in Madeira, and head up the mountain in a cable car, then enjoy a toboggan ride back down.
